讀到一個句子

I guess it's a case of no news is good news in as much as his condition hasn't

deteriorated but by the same token hasn't improved.

我想這是一個沒有消息就是好消息的例子，因為他的情況沒有惡化，但同樣也沒有改善。

by the same token   副詞性短語，意思是：

1）同樣地 （similarly, in the same way, in the same manner） 表示說話人在介紹平行或

相近對比的信息的短語 （the speaker is introducing parallel or closely contrasting

information）

例句：

I'm not good at math and, by the same token,  I struggle with scientific equations.
