前幾期我們學(xué)習(xí)了英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法：不定代詞one, everyone, both, all、不定代詞either, any、不定代詞neither, none、不定代詞another, other（1）、不定代詞another, other（2）。這一期，我們學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法：不定代詞few, little。

13. (a) few，(a) little

（1）用作代詞或者形容詞，(a) few與可數(shù)名詞連用。(a) few（一些）表示肯定意義，相當(dāng)于some，而few（不多，很少）表示否定意義。

比如：

A few of us went to the concert last right.

我們中有幾個(gè)人昨晚去聽了音樂(lè)會(huì)。

I was asked to say a few words at the meeting.

我被要求在會(huì)上說(shuō)幾句話。

Few of his friends have been sent abroad.

他的朋友中很少有人被派到國(guó)外。

Few students can find the answer to the problem.

很少有學(xué)生可以找到題目的答案。

（2）(a) little與可數(shù)名詞連用。a little一些 表示肯定意義，相當(dāng)于some，而little（不多，很少）表示否定意義。

比如：

I know a little about the European country.

我對(duì)這個(gè)歐洲國(guó)家的情況了解一些。

I have a little housework to do now.

我現(xiàn)在有些家務(wù)要干。

When he finished the exam paper, there was little time left.

當(dāng)他答完試卷時(shí)，剩下的時(shí)間不多了。

（3）副詞only, quite, just可以用于a few, a little之前，但不能用于few, little之前。

比如：

The question was difficult, so only a few pupils could answer it.

這個(gè)問(wèn)題太難，所以只有幾個(gè)學(xué)生能回答。

I can see quite a few wild ducks on the lake.

我可以看到湖有好幾只鴨。

I could write just a little English then.

當(dāng)時(shí)我只能寫一點(diǎn)兒英語(yǔ)。

Fill the tank with petrol please. There is only a little left.

請(qǐng)給油箱加點(diǎn)油。只剩下一點(diǎn)兒了。
