HIGHLIGHTS AND ADVICE:

Thank you for doing your best on the ability test. You did great! You can imitate sounds well. However, learning the basic phonological sounds of the English alphabet is necessary for you to be able to pronounce the words clearly and correctly. With the book called "Mastering the American Accent" you can choose to study specific sounds, but I recommend that you practice /?/, /e/ and /e?/ sounds to avoid any misunderstandings of words that can be affected by interchanging these sounds. In English, there are a lot of homonyms, words that sound the same or almost the same but have different meanings. Mastering sounds will help you identify and differentiate these words.

Moreover, expounding your vocabulary knowledge is necessary so you can express yourself in many ways. This means learning more words, phrases and even expressions. This way, you can also develop critical thinking, be more confident when speaking, and be able to understand the context of words in a sentence. Don't worry, with practice you can eliminate any mistakes. I recommend lesson materials from Interchange or Side by Side 1, which you can find on our website, for grammar lessons, basic and also intermediate.
