Best Regards, John Smiths (Signature) Amy Smiths (Signature) 給父母的邀請(qǐng)信 邀請(qǐng)函 親愛的老媽: 你好！ 自從2011年3月4號(hào)，我和艾米踏上加拿大這片陌生的土地以來，轉(zhuǎn)眼間已經(jīng)過去四個(gè)月了！對(duì)你的思念之前無法言表！ 短短的四個(gè)月時(shí)間，發(fā)生了很多事情，總體來說一切還是很順利的。我們很快適應(yīng)了新的環(huán)境，能夠開車四處逛逛；工作也很快上手了，老板們都夸我們干活效率高質(zhì)量好；最近又搬出公寓，住上了夢(mèng)寐以求的兩層小別墅；艾米懷還上了寶寶，估計(jì)明明年初出生?；仡^看看，真的很難相信這些發(fā)生在短短的四個(gè)月里…… 我們非常喜歡現(xiàn)在居住的城市---柏林頓(Burlington)。這個(gè)城市人口只有15萬人，估計(jì)只有南京的百分之一。人們都很熱情、友善，即使陌生人見面也會(huì)打招呼，開車互相禮讓，從來沒有見過搶行的。犯罪率是全加拿大最低的城市之一，房門忘記鎖了，車門忘記關(guān)了，一點(diǎn)事情沒有。環(huán)境也非常好，整個(gè)城市坐落于安大略湖邊，到處都是公園和植物，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)看去，整個(gè)城市就像是建在樹林里的。 總之，對(duì)于未來，我們都充滿了期望，覺得當(dāng)初移民的選擇是絕對(duì)正確的。 唯一有所遺憾的是，由于工作和生活的節(jié)奏很快，在加上西方?jīng)]有中國的新年假期，我們沒法回國和您一起過春節(jié)了。但是也很不愿意讓您一個(gè)人在國內(nèi)過年，所以我們很誠摯的邀請(qǐng)您來加拿大，讓我們能在大洋彼岸團(tuán)圓。 我們會(huì)帶您逛逛我們住的小區(qū)，看看這里的超市和商場(chǎng)，走走這里的公園和自然保護(hù)區(qū)，當(dāng)然尼亞加拉大瀑布是必須去的。另外，我們也需要聽聽您的建議，畢竟這是我們的第一個(gè)寶寶，缺乏經(jīng)驗(yàn)讓我們很緊張。 實(shí)加拿大每一個(gè)季節(jié)都是美麗的。春天是花的海洋，夏天是綠油油的草地和晶瑩剔透的藍(lán)天白云、秋天是彩虹滿山的楓葉、冬天冰雪覆蓋白雪無垠，同樣別有一番景致那便是純潔無瑕。這里冬天還是挺冷的，雖然屋里和車?yán)镉信瘹猓鞘彝膺€是零下的。所以，準(zhǔn)備一件過膝蓋的羽絨服還是必須的，那些高領(lǐng)毛衣什么的就不用了，那些衣物不容易脫，在室內(nèi)穿著會(huì)很熱的。 如果這次加拿大能成行，我打算就用這一個(gè)月的時(shí)間保證讓你將加加拿大的好山好水領(lǐng)略一下，那將是一件十分有意義的事情。由我來負(fù)責(zé)安排整個(gè)行程計(jì)劃，經(jīng)濟(jì)上老媽就不用跟我爭(zhēng)了，機(jī)票、食宿、參加旅行團(tuán)的費(fèi)用以及短期醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)都由我和艾米來出，請(qǐng)接受我們這片心意吧！我建議隨身不要帶太多現(xiàn)金，但一定記得帶上信用卡，因?yàn)橹袊男庞每╒ISA或MASTERCARD在加拿大也非常好用。 整個(gè)行程差不多這么計(jì)劃，到時(shí)候可能根據(jù)您的實(shí)際身體情況做調(diào)整： · 前往加拿大: 南京坐動(dòng)車到上海->在姨媽和冬冬哥哥住處休整一下->從上海直飛多倫多國際機(jī)場(chǎng)->我們會(huì)在機(jī)場(chǎng)等候您 · 第一周：倒時(shí)差，好好休整，盡情享受團(tuán)聚的幸福時(shí)刻，我相信，見面的每一天，我們都是幸福的 · 第二&三周: 我們打算請(qǐng)幾天年假加上周末帶您開車出去轉(zhuǎn)悠轉(zhuǎn)悠。往南走，尼亞加拉大瀑布離這里很近，旁邊的小鎮(zhèn)也很有異國風(fēng)情；往北走，多倫多、Brampton還有Scabom都是很值得看看的城市，領(lǐng)略一下加拿大的中國城是什么樣子的；這里還有很多自然保護(hù)區(qū)，帶您領(lǐng)略和小鹿、小兔子一起走山路的感覺 · 最后一周：帶您在加拿大的超市和商場(chǎng)走走，看看這里的物價(jià)和供應(yīng)，另外準(zhǔn)備回國給朋友、親戚的禮物。 好了，更多的就不寫了，總之我想老媽一定會(huì)賞臉，主意定了請(qǐng)盡快告訴我，我要提前訂好往返機(jī)票，更重要的是需要時(shí)間向使館申請(qǐng)簽證。我也相信你們的這此旅行家里的其他親屬會(huì)很高興的支持的。 我和艾米再次熱情地邀請(qǐng)您的光臨！ 您的兒子，約翰 2011年8月3日于柏林頓 Invitation Letter Aug-03-2011 Dear Mom, How are you doing now? Time flies! It has been four months since we landed on this strange land on March 4th 2011. Everything went pretty well afterwards. We are getting used to the new environment. We have our dreamed car and can drive around to enjoy the good view here; both of us received complement from our bosses and customers; we purchased a new house and just moved in, it is our dreamed accommodation with large windows and three bedrooms; surprisingly Amy is pregnant and we will have our baby on January next year. When we look back, we can hardly believe all of these happened within four months! We love Burlington, the city that we live in. It is a wonderful but small city with 150,000 populations. People here are very nice and kind, even strangers say Hello to each other, drivers are very polite, they usually stop to let others pass. Burlington is also one of the safest city in Canada, you won’t lose anything even if you forget to lock your door or car. The whole city is next to Ontario Lake, and built on a forest. There are lots of parks & conservation areas. You can always see rabbits jumping around cars & houses. In a word, we are very happy now, and we’ve never regretted the decision to immigrate to Canada! The only thing that we feel sorry about is that we cannot return China for Chinese New Year, because of our job here. You know there is no Chinese New Year vacation in Canada. But we don’t want to leave you alone in China while others are having family reunion. Therefore we sincerely invite you to pay visit to us this winter. We can show you the city we live, people, parks, stores etc. We can take you to Niagara falls, Toronto, a thousand islands etc. What is more important, we want to have advice from you regarding pregnancy. You know, this is our first baby, Amy & I are very nervous and worried, books here are for Canadians, and Asians are so different which require special treatment before and after having a baby. We need your suggestion & guide. Someone said that winter is a bad time to visit Canada. I would say it is true & false. Canadian views in four seasons are different and each one is the best. Green grass in spring, colorful flowers in summer, red maple leaves in fall and white world in winter, all of these are enjoyable. However, it is cold here in winter, so please be prepared. Down Garments are always necessary. But don’t worry too much; it is usually above 22 degrees indoors. If you can fly here, I will be fully in charge of your travel arrangement. One month is not too long, but long enough to take a look at Burlington and cities & towns nearby. Amy and I will take full financial responsibility of your stay, as you might know, 7 CNY = 1 CAN, don’t argue this with us, because we earn CAN here! Never take too much cash with you, but credit cards. Visa & Master card from China work well on Canadian POS. Here is a draft version of your travel plan; I might adjust it according to your status: · Departure from China: you can take train from Nanjing to Shanghai, don’t take large luggage, we will prepare everything here in Canada. Then you can take a rest at aunt’s place for a while, and fly directly to Toronto Pearson International Airport. We will be expecting you there. · First Week: Take a good rest and recover from jet lag. Meanwhile I am sure this family reunion will be very happy and unforgettable. · Second & third week: We plan to take a leave to drive you around. Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-lake are must-to-go places in south; Toronto, Mississauga, 1000 islands are also wonderful in north. · Last week: SHOPPING!! Prepare gifts for friends in China.
