1. Download the VMD for linux code form http://www.ks./Development/Down ... wnload.cgi 2. Extracting the VMD source. This will produce a subdirectory named vmd-1.9. Thus, cd there. 3. Open the configure file, and make the following change to the file: # Directory where VMD startup script is installed, should be in users' paths. $install_bin_dir="/home/xia/software/vmd-1.9/bin"; !!change install location to your local location. # Directory where VMD files and executables are installed $install_library_dir="/home/xia/software/vmd-1.9/lib/$install_name"; 4. ./configure LINUXAMD64 5. ./configure 6. cd src. 7. sudo make Install 8. But before using the VMD, Please do this : sudo apt-get install csh. |
